PRAYER FOR PEACE
You are the peace of all things calm
You are the place to hide from harm
You are the light that shines in dark
You are the heart's eternal spark
You are the door that's open wide
You are the guest who waits inside
You are the stranger at the door
You are the calling of the poor
You are my Lord and with me still
You are my love, keep me from ill
You are the light, the truth, the way
You are my Saviour this very day.

*CALL TO CONTINUING WORSHIP
One: Shout triumphantly to the LORD, all the earth!
Many: Serve the LORD with celebration! Come before him with shouts of joy!
One: Know that the LORD is God—
Many: he made us; we belong to him.
One: We are his people,
Many: the sheep of his own pasture.
One: Enter his gates with thanks; enter his courtyards with praise!
Many: Thank him! Bless his name!
All: Because the LORD is good, his loyal love lasts forever; his faithfulness lasts generation after generation.

*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Amazing God, in our head we know your ways are not our ways and your thoughts are not our thoughts. We confess that we know the words and have a hard time grasping what they truly mean. We admit that we protect our hearts from you lest we come to know deeply within our being how much you love and forgive us. Give us strength to open ourselves to you so we know we are forgiven and precious children of yours. Amen.

*HYMN 410|God Is Calling through the Whisper|W Żłobie Leży
*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH from the Brief Statement of Faith
We trust in God, whom Jesus called Abba, Father. In sovereign love God created the world good and makes everyone equally in God’s images male and female of every race and people, to live as one in community. But we rebel against God; we hide from our creator. Ignoring God’s commandments, we violate the image of God in others and ourselves, accept lies as truth, exploit neighbor and nature, threaten death to the planet entrusted to our care. We deserve God’s condemnation. Yet God acts with justice and mercy to redeem creation. In everlasting love, the God of Abraham and Sarah chose a covenant people to bless all families of the earth. Hearing their cry, God delivered the children of Israel from the house of bondage. Loving us still, God makes us heirs with Christ of the covenant. Like a mother who will not forsake her nursing child, like a father who runs to welcome the prodigal home, God is faithful still.
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND THE LORD’S PRAYER
…Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
