Resurrection or Resuscitation
PRAYER FOR PEACE
Did I offer peace today? Did I bring a smile to someone’s face? Did I offer words of healing? Did I let go of my anger and resentment? Did I forgive? Did I love? These are the real questions. I must trust that the little bit of love that I sow now will bear many fruits, here in this world and the life to come.

*CALL TO CONTINUING WORSHIP
Beloved church, from the tomb of despair arise! [5:28]
Jesus, our Lord, has conquered the grave.
Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?
Sin and death shall reign no more. Christ is risen! Alleluia!
Christ is risen indeed! Alleluia! Amen!
*HYMN 245 | Christ the Lord Is Risen Today! | Llanfair | [6:19]
*PRAYER OF CONFESSION | [9:04]
We serve a risen Savior and too often drudge day to day. Forgive us, Lord that we are so hesitant to live the resurrection life. Forgive us that we fail to show through word and action the truth that you loved us into your kingdom through the glorious mystery of the Cross. Forgive us that there is still fear in our lives that prevents us from achieving your full potential in and through us. Draw us close. Open our eyes to the glory of the risen Christ, our hearts to the wonder of the Cross and our hands to the service of your kingdom where you have placed us that your name might be glorified through our lives. Amen.

*AFFIRMATION OF FAITH The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. [41:06]

INVITATION TO THE LORD’S TABLE
GREAT PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
THE LORD'S PRAYER
…Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
WORDS OF INSTITUTION
SHARING OF THE MEAL
(All who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord, regardless of age or denomination, are invited to partake in the Sacrament of Communion. Today we will serve Communion by intinction. Please come forward down the center aisle. Break off a piece of the bread and dip it into the cup and eat. Or you may take an individual cup from the tray and drink. We have gluten free bread available. Return to your seat by the side aisle. If you are unable to come forward, please indicate this to the pastor and the sacrament will be brought to you.)
PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION
Nourished at this table, O God, may we know Christ’s redeeming love and live a new life in him. Help us who recognize our Lord in the breaking of bread to see and serve him in all whose lives are broken. As we have been fed here, give us grace to share our bread with the hungry and with the hungry of heart. Amen.
